Right to tenancy
Who is entitled to tenancy?
The right of occupancy is based on the student status of the tenant. The right of occupancy will continue for a maximum of one year after graduation.
After having resided in a TOAS apartment for 72 months, the right of occupancy is checked. The tenant must provide proof that his/her studies are still ongoing (transcript of the student register or written evidence or clarification of the progress of thesis) within one month of the receipt of this letter or the tenancy will be terminated. If the tenant is unable to provide the aforementioned proof concerning the continuity of his/her studies, the tenancy with TOAS will be terminated. This termination will enter into force after six (6) months (according to the Act on Residental Leases), unless:
a) provides sufficient proof of continuity and progress of studies; a minimum of teighteen (18) study credits during the past year or b) presents a separate report or clarification of the progress of his/her thesis.
