WIN-WIN, everybody wins by saving energy

The year 2010 is the energy saving year for TOAS!

We challenge all tenants to participate in a competition, where everybody wins.


TOAS’s total cost of energy in the year 2009 was approximately €5.5 million. During 2010, the goal is to save up to 10% (i.e. €550,000) in heating, electricity, and water expenses.

Each tenant can influence the end result by reducing especially water and electricity consumption in everyday life. Energy efficiency will positively affect the global warming, your near environment, and your own rent.   


What you can win


If the property maintenance expenses will be reduced in 2010 from those of 2009, TOAS will give 5% of the savings to tenant committees’ use.  


Tips


Electricity

  • Turn off the lights when not needed

Water

  • Washing dishes under running water leads to unnecessary water waste

Heating       

  • Airing your room to cool it off while the heating is on is not smart!

Energy efficiency is environmentally friendly behavior and your responsibility!
