The deposit is the guarantee
A tenant pays a deposit before signing the rental agreement. The deposit is to guarantee that the tenant takes care of the apartment and all the responsibilities that are included in the rental.
If the apartment has been taken care of, the deposit will be returned to the tenant’s bank account, that he/she has designated earlier. The deposit will be paid back to the tenant the month following the tenancy’s resignation. However, if the apartment requires repairs or extra cleaning, these costs will be deducted from the deposit.
